Fleur's Fable

Adventure game designed for children aged 9-12 with social skill deficiencies. The game offers the player a set of levels that act as a playground to allow said children to experiment and find out how emotional responses can have different emotional reactions, without giving them too much repercussions like in normal life.

The game is set inside a magical forest filled with forest critters that act as NPCs. Each NPC has an emotion connected to them and all of them are involved in a certain conflict that require social skills to solve. 

The player is able to move through the level, talk with NPCs that makes use of a dialogue tree with multiple options to choose from and multiple responses, while also providing small challenges in the form of minigames that also are connected to the progression the player makes through the level.

Fleur's Fable was a project made in partnership with the Saxion University of Applied Sciences and BeeYou Games, who wanted to craft a playful solution to help children with social skill problems. The game was made with a total of 5 people over the span of 5 months, after which we delivered the prototype to our clients. The game will therefore not receive future updates.
